Proposed Legislative Changes In The STATE REQUIRED PRE-LICENSING CLASS, Effective August, 2012: It will include 6 hrs of classroom study and 8 hrs of behind-the-wheel. Thus making the tuition increase to prices equal to the 38 hr / driver education course. Also students will have to be at least 18 yrs old.

Our local experience in teaching driver education and Louisiana Third-Party Testing gives us tested knowledge to help the driver not only get a license, but giving them the tools to ensure they can become a safer driver. Enrollment starts at 8:30 am and class starts at 9 am and ends at 3:30 pm.
Must This is the best Pre-Licensing (6-Hour) Class in our area and it exceeds the states minimum requirements. Our course includes the National Safety Council® Defensive Driving Course (DDC) that may also allow a discount on your automobile insurance premiums. Not only does it allow someone who is 17 years of age or older to apply for a Louisiana drivers license or learner's permit, but it entitles the applicant to a discount if they choose to take the DMV Road Test with Louisiana Driving School.

- We HAVE to See State Birth Certificate if 17 years old. Otherwise, a State ID is okay.

PARENT MUST SIGN CERTIFICATE IF STUDENT IS 17 YEARS OLD BEFORE ISSUING / NEW LAW
Identification. We must see proper identification before issuing a certificate of completion. We need to see at least one of the following: birth certificate, social security card, any state id or passport. However, if the student is 17 we have to see the state birth certificate and the parents name must the same as the parent representing student at the driving school with their proper identification and will have to sign the certificate saying that their child completed the required course above.

Passing. All students are required to pass a 10 question multiple choice test before obtaining a certificate of completion. A grade of 80% or better is required for passing.

3-Behind-the-Wheel Lessons Three 90-Minute driving lessons that help establish driver readiness and basic maneuvers.

Walk-in with your head up and only $25. Starting at 1:15pm until 3:30pm. No certificate issued.
This is a non-certified class designed as a refresher and update on the Louisiana Driver's Guide, driving laws and policy. It is not a complete course on all Louisiana traffic rules and laws. It has proven to be very helpful for taking the states written test at the Office of Motor Vehicles.
A study guide is given in this class to all participants. No testing out of this non-certified program.
